DISTRICT INDUSTRIES CENTRE, SURYAPET

Suryapet district is carved out of erstwhile Nalgonda district. The district shares boundaries with Nalgonda, Yadadri, Khammam, Hanamkonda, Mahabubabad districts and the state of Andhra Pradesh. The district comprises 23 mandals and 2 revenue divisions – Suryapet and Kodad. The district headquarters is located at Suryapet town. Suryapet is now a fast-developing region with highly flourishing cement industries & Rice mills. The district is Home for two Mega Industries, namely My Home Cement Industries & NCL Cement Industries, 12 Large industries and many medium and small industries. Total Industries in the District are 1343. The rise in MSME sector provided much needed employment and investments in the district.

BRIEF NOTES ON INDUSTRIAL POLICY: –

  III).  TG-iPASS:

  • Telangana Government enacted unique act called, “Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System (TG-iPASS) Act, 2014” (Act No. 3 of 2014) with effect from 1st February 2015 for speedy processing of applications for issue of various clearances required for setting up of industries at a single point based on the self-certificate provided by the entrepreneur and also to create investor friendly environment in the State of Telangana.
  • The Act empowers the Entrepreneurs with Right to clearances under TG-iPASS, to know the reasons for delay, if any, in getting the clearance within time limits and penalizing the officers responsible for the delay.
  • Periodical (Fortnightly) review meetings at District Level under Chairmanship of District Collector and DIC is the Nodal Agency.

V). T-IDEA / T-PRIDE: –

            In order to accelerate the process of Industrialization by making various kinds of incentives available to the entrepreneurs, Government of Telangana is providing fiscal  benefits under T-IDEA ( Telangana State Industrial Development and Entrepreneur advancement)..

  Special / Additional incentives  provided for SC , ST & PHC owned  Enterprises under T-PRIDE ( Telangana State Programme for Rapid Incubation of Dalit Entrepreneurs).

Incentives for Micro enterprises will be sanctioned under T-IDEA & T-PRIDE by District Industrial Promotion Committee (DIPC) under the Chairmanship of District Collector.

VI) PMEGP:- Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme

            It is a Government of India  sponsored scheme.  Implementing agencies are KVIC,   KVIB & DIC.

     A.Objectives:-

     (i).   To generate employment opportunities in rural & urban areas through setting up of new self employment ventures/ projects / micro enterprises.

   (ii).To bring together widely  dispersed traditional artisans/ rural & urban unemployed youth and give them self employment opportunities to the extent  possible, at their place.

   (iii).To provide continuous &sustainable employment to a large segment of traditional and prospective artisans and  rural & urban unemployed youth so as to help arrest migration of rural youth to urban areas.

     (iv).To increase the wage earning capacity of artisans & contribute to increase in the growth rate of rural & urban employment.

B.Maximum project cost manufacturing sector is Rs. 50.00 Lakhs for manufacturing   and Rs. 20.00  Lakhs. For service sectors.

D.Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme:

The Prime Minister of India has announced a new scheme “PM Vishwakarma” in his speech on Independence Day 2023 for providing recognition and holistic support to traditional artisans and crafts people working with their hands and tools, in order improve the quality, scale and reach of their products and integrate them with the MSME value chains. The scheme is fully funded by the Government of India and will provide the eligible beneficiaries with the following components:

 

  1. Recognition with PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID Card
  2. Tool Kit Incentive
  3. Skill upgradation training with stipend
  4. Concessional and collateral-free loan
  5. Incentive for digital transaction
  6. Marketing support

The District Implementation Committee headed by the District Collector is responsible for proper implantation of the scheme at district level.
