DEPARTMENTAL NOTES

I.Hostels:

In Suryapet District (30) Prematric Hostels are functioning, in which (12) Govt. buildings, (18) Private Buildings and (06) Postmatric Hostels are functioning in which (01) Govt. building, (05) Private Buildings. Total Strength in Prematric (1800) & Postmatric (900) Total strength (2700).

II.Facilities Providing to the Hostel Boarders:

 The following amenities are providing to each Hostel boarders i.e. free supply of Note Books, (1) carpet, (1) Bed sheet, (4) pairs of dresses, one sweater with monkey cap, One black school shoe, One sports shoe and (3) Pairs of socks, Paragon Slippers, One Towel, Sports Material, Study Material for 10^th class students in every year, Woolen Blankets every (2) years and plates & glasses in every (03) years and Trunk Boxes in every (05) years, Dining Table every five years, Utensils are supplied for hostels which are required.

                              Diet Charges per Boarder:-

Cosmetic Charges:

Boys: (III to VII)      @ Rs: 150/-PM per boarder,

Boys (VIII to X)       @ Rs. 200/- PM per boarder.

Girls III to VII         @ Rs: 175/-PM per boarder

Girls VIII to X         @Rs:  275/-PM per boarder

III). POSTMATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS:

The criteria for sanction of Post-Metric scholarship is based on Income certificate issued by the Tahsildars concerned within the ceilingfor Rs: 2.00 lakhs irrespective ofcourses.

The SC students studying in various courses from intermediate and above are sanctioned scholarship comprising two components i.e. maintenance and tuition fee.

IV).PRE MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS:

New Scheme:The SC students studying from V to VIII class Boys and Girls are sanctioned scholarships Boys Rs.1000/-P.A and Girls Rs.1500/-P.A.(Only Govt. schools).

Rajeev Vidya Deevana: The SC students studying from IX to X class Boys and Girls are sanctioned scholarships Rs.3000/-P.A. (Only Govt. Schools).

V). Best Available Schools Scheme:

Under this scheme (05) Residential & Non Residential schools are functioning in the District.

• 28,000/-Non Residential being sanctioned per student per annum.
• 42,000/-Residential being sanctioned per student per annum
• Income ceiling limit of Rs.1,50,000/- Rural areas and Rs.2,00,000/- Urban areas.

VI).AMBEDKAR OVERSEAS VIDYANIDHI:

• Government Flagship programme to support the poor SCs for higher education in reputed universities in foreign countries.
• To pursue Masters course in foreign universities e.US, UK, Canada, Germany, Switzerland & Australia etc.,
• Minimum bench marks in academic is GRE/GMAT/TOEFL/ILTES Administered online in two spells every year
• Through screening and selection by the SL Committee the Scholarship of Rs.20.00lakhs & one-way air travel ticket and VISA fee given.
• Income ceiling limit of Rs.5.00lakhs for SCs.

VII). INCENTIVE CASH AWARD TO INTERCASTE MARRIED COUPLES:

Inter Caste marriage incentive cash award of Rs. 2,50,000/- each couple has been sanctioned as shown below in Suryapet District.

IX). COMMUNITY HALLS:         

In Suryapet District (177) Community Halls are sanctioned by the Government out of which (41) Community Halls are completed, (20) Community Halls are under basement level, (114) Community Halls not started, (2) are under land dispute.  

X). AMBEDKAR BHAVAN :

The Government have sanctioned (01) Ambedkar Bhavan to the Suryapet District for which the Government have released budget 6.64 Crores  and at present the Building construction at Slab level.

IX).  FREE POWER TO SC HOUSE HOLDS (0-101) Units:

 In Suryapet District Government of Telangana Pays Upto (0-101) Units Power bill at free of Cost to SC House Holds in the District.
