Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana – Rajiv Aarogyasri Scheme – Progress Report

 

The Government of Telangana aims to provide free corporate-level medical treatment to all the poor in the state. To achieve this, the state government has launched the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jana Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) in collaboration with the Central Government. The scheme provides a family with medical assistance of up to ₹5 lakh per year, which has now been increased to ₹10 lakh per year by the state government.

Under this scheme, 1672 types of diseases are covered, and treatment is provided through empaneled hospitals in the Aarogyasri network. The scheme aims to provide quality medical treatment to all eligible beneficiaries.

These services are provided through the Rajiv Aarogyashree scheme, which aims to make quality healthcare accessible to all. Additionally, the Telangana government has also included high-cost treatments like cochlear implantation and organ transplantation under the scheme.

In Suryapet district, 12 hospitals provide Rajiv Aarogyasri services, while across Telangana, 639 hospitals offer these services. Additionally, 25 Mandal centers provide Ayushman Bharat-Rajiv Aarogyasri services.

Some of the hospitals in Suryapet district that offer dialysis services under Rajiv Aarogyasri include – District Hospital,- Vijayakrishna,- Healthify,- Kodada,- Huzurnagar Regional Hospital.In the past year, 19,66,393 people in Suryapet district received surgical and medical treatments, with the government spending ₹49.01 crores on these services
