BRIEF NOTE ON MEPMA ACTIVITIES, SURYAPET DISTRICT

1) Formation of New SHGs :

10 – 20 Urban poor women form into Self Help Group (SHG) for depositing their monthly savings and after 6 months to access Bank Loans in order to improve their Livelihoods. The New SHGs who deposit monthly savings regularly for 6 months in the SHG Bank Account become eligible for Revolving Fund @ Rs.10,000/- under NULM.

2) SHG- Bank Linkage :-

The Self Help Groups (SHGs) can access Bank Loans from Rs.75,000/- to Rs.10,00,000/- for promoting income generative activities among the Women. The SHGs become eligible for Interest Subsidy from State Govt. (VLR ) and Central Govt.( NULM –IS) on prompt repayment of loan instalments to the lending Banks.

3) Self Employment Programme :- ( SEP-I )

Under Employed and unemployed urban poor (youth & Urban Poor SHG) will be sanctioned bank Loans up to Rs.2,00,000/- under Self Employment Programme (Individuals) Scheme to setup small enterprises (manufacturing, Servicing and petty business). The beneficiaries become eligible for Interest Subsidy from State Govt. (VLR ) and Central Govt.( NULM –IS) on prompt repayment of loan instalments to the lending Banks.

4) Support to Urban Street Vendors (PM SVA Nidhi scheme ) :

Street Vendors survey was conducted under Pattana Pragathi – PMSVANidhi Scheme for sanction of Special Micro Credit Facility from Banks to the Street Vendors whose Livelihood was affected during COVID period @ Rs.10,000/- under 1^st Tranche, 2^nd Tranche @Rs.20,000/- and 3^rd Tranche @ Rs.50,000/-.
