Indiramma Housing Scheme
The Indiramma Housing Scheme is a social welfare scheme launched by the Telangana state government to provide housing facilities to the homeless citizens of the state. Under this scheme, the Telangana state government will provide financial assistance of INR 5 lakh to each selected citizen so that they can build their own house. All the houses that will be built under the scheme would be at least 400 sq. ft. and include an RCC roof, kitchen, and toilet in each house. For the smooth implementation of the scheme, the Telangana state government has set up a total budget of INR 22,000 crores.

Indiramma Housing Scheme Eligibility
Here are the eligibility criteria applicable to the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
- An applicant has to be a resident of Telangana.
- Applicant’s family should belong to a low-income group, particularly Dalits, tribal, minority and weaker sections of the society.
- Applicant’s family must not own a home in India.
- Applicant’s family should have participated in the Telangana movement to apply for the 250 square metre land or site.
Beneficiary:
Must be a permanent resident of Telangana. Should not own a registered house in their name. Must belong to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) or Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.
Benefits:
The Indiramma Housing Scheme list will inform the citizens whether they are selected under the scheme or not. With the help of this scheme, the Telangana state government will significantly reduce the number of homeless citizens. The financial assistance of INR 5 lakh will be given to the citizens who will get selected under the scheme. The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the bank account of the selected citizens through the DBT process.
